Our next scheduled event at Marks Slough is this October and a full, updated list of our events for 2012 will be available at our next event at Cheadle Lake in April. They are extremely active in trail building and maintaining various existing trails. Check with the Benton County park persons and also Sally Shaw is the representive for the McDonald- Dun trail reports for the OET groups and we have chose to do trail maintence on the Dan's trail this year. Also, Joel Starr, trail boss for Mid-Valley OET was selected as the US Forest Service's region 6 individual volunteer of the year. Joel is extremely knowledgable. check out the KVAL artical on him. http://corvallis.kval.com/news/community-spirit/253135-philomath-resident-honored-forest-service-volunteer-year . Getting volunteers together and working as a group of bikers/hikers/Equestrians make more usuable trails and getting more done. Hope this helps. It has been proposed that a trail would be laid over the top, if this were to happen. So nothing is solidified yet, but it could happen!
