All events are free

Here's how it works

This year our annual Cheadle Lake Run is a "virtual challenge," by which we mean "on your own." It's a more personal way to run your race but you can still compare your times to others.

Four courses

There are four courses that you can walk, ride, or bicycle.

Course 1

A 10K starting at Cheadle Lake Park going to River Park and returning to the start at Cheadle.

Course 2

A 5K starting at Cheadle Lake to Riverview Park and returning to the start at Cheadle.

Course 3

A 3.25 mile course starting at Cheadle Lake to the boat ramp at the north parking lot then returning to Cheadle Park after visiting the island loop trails.

Course 4

Do It All Trail.  From Cheadle Lake off Weirich Drive, make your way to Old Mill Trail though River Park and side streets to Had Irvine Park. Travel around Marks Slough Trail, then over to Dr Thad Nelson Trail. Once there, loop back to Cheadle Lake Park and make your way around the Island Loop Trail, then back to the start.

All routes follow 8-to-12-foot-wide soft- and hard-surfaced trails with natural landscapes, wildlife, and walk bridges along the South Santiam River, Cheadle Lake and the Lebanon water canal system.

You can sign up for as many events as you want on

Select each event according to which course you plan to do and whether you're walking, running, or bicycling.
