Large turnout at our September 2026 workday

We'd like to express our appreciation for the large number of citizens who turned out for our trail workday this month to help clear ivy along the new Mill Race Trail, which is still under development and expected to be completed in the next couple of months. It gave the participants a chance to see the trail and to work outdoors for the future public good.

According to Jan Diamantine, "It was the most people we've ever had for a workday and even got done early. Lots of ivy was taken off the trees."

It has been said, "Happiest are those who serve." Build Lebanon Trails has always been an entirely volunteer group, and it is a labor of love. We exist to improve the community by finding funding, building beautiful trails, and helping the City of Lebanon maintain them, eventually connecting them across our city.

So when the community shows us this kind of volunteer support, it makes our day. The many volunteers appeared to thoroughly enjoy working outside in the beautiful weather and, at the same time, accomplish something that will benefit our community for years to come.

We'll let the photos from yesterday's event speak for themselves, and apologies to those volunteers who didn't make it into a photo. Click on any to open a lightbox.
