The annual Historical Downtown Walk took place on December 6, 2025.
Wyatt King led the group. This year’s walk featured an inside tour of Hotel Lebanon. The original wood-framed hotel burned down in 1911. A new four-story concrete hotel was completed in 1912. The hotel closed in 1953 and has been empty since. In 1964, the fourth story was removed for safety reasons. It is currently being converted into apartments or hotel rooms.
New on this year’s tour was the Ralston-Lowe house, built in 1887. The Queen-Anne style home at Main and Vine was built by the youngest son of the town's pioneering founders, Jeremiah and Jemima Ralston.
A highlight of the tour was visiting a newly renovated apartment on the upper floor of the Courtney Building, built in 1891.
This video shows some quick highlights and the number of folks who turned out!
The tour is sponsored by the Lebanon Downtown Association, the Lebanon Museum, and Build Lebanon Trails.
If you missed this year's tour, plan to join us December 2026, to learn about some of the history of downtown Lebanon.
